Light Manager lets you control your LED to notify you of lots of things in different colors. I noticed the LED doesn't do anything otherwise. Try it, pretty cool little gadget.

I might try that app. OS settings will let you turn it on for notifications only, afaik. Wish it would let you turn it on to let you know when it's charging / charged.

Big thumbs up to lightflow. I'm not currently using it, 'cause I'm running the DP4 preview unrooted right now, but it is a great app.

The LED on my 5X works for notifications. I would like to see it work for charging though. That would be nice.

Click on the settings hamburger then battery!
