Everything is running fine, it's just the light will not go off. It's annoying and i imagine it's draining the battery.

My Mytouch 3g v 1.2 just started doing this also I have done factory reset on the device and every thing Not sure why the notification light will not shut off.. It is a Tourquois Color and No other indicator lights will change it. Plugged in or not.. I would like to find a fix for this..

Have you tried unplugging from power and removing the battery?
