LG optimus 4x - 3g

Hi, I'm a new user here.

I recently got my LG optimus 4x and have no idea how to turn on 3G.
I tried going to settings - wireless and networks - more - mobile networks
It has data enabled which I have ticked, data roaming which I have ticked, network mode which I had GSM/WCDMA(automode), access point names, use only 2g networks and network operators where I have chosen the automatic network.

Any idea how to turn 3G on?
Don't really know that much about phones.

It sounds like its not your phone per say.

How that works for example you bought a phone you liked and put it on Tmobile for some reason. Maybe your phone can only use Tmobile at 2g.

So you should determine what carrier you have and what bands you have. People have a hard time with this part. A ATT phone with only a Tmobile signal sometimes gets nothing sometimes just 2g.
