    Howdy! I bring you a gift of Cake! I too have an EVO, but my primary machine is a Mac, I usually mount my evo to my mac via usb, and copy over all the contents of my SD card.... but first I have to bring up terminal and tell my mac to show hidden files so that those will come up too. PC users or Windows can use something called HTC Sync... I think it can be found at the HTC website. another way is if you are rooted, titanium backup, and I also believe if you go to the android market, and download astro, you can backup through that. but dont quote me on all of that, I am a noob as well. :)
