Call volume was fixed in Android 2.1 [I see you're from Seattle, so I'm assuming your still stuck on 1.6 with AT&T]

But nonetheless, I want this phone. like Now.

Sorry. I may be wrong. I thought it was fixed in 2.1. I don't have any difficulty when talking on the phone compared to 1.6.

Hmm well i'm due an upgrade and i have a X10, i might even consider upgrading to this rather than my original idea of an iphone. don't like how the back and menu button have been swapped around thou.

that happens with any android phone...the keys/buttons are always swapped...why idk
  11. This phone is sick as well it looks like a step up from the HTC inspire, and samsung infuse that were just announced, but what troubles me is that AT&T didnt mention it at all?

Is there really much of a difference between the X10 and the Arc?

I mean, they look really similar.

    According to this:
Compare Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 mobile phones
They have rather similar specs, arc being sligtly better.

And the arc will have honeycomb and froyo.

But is it really that much of a step up from the x10?

I'll be buying an x10 in a few days. The x10 was 1000 when it came out here, I don't see the point is paying that much for something only slightly better.

I upgrade every two years, I won't bother buying an Arc.

    Just my opinion.
  13. ARC has multi touch X10 doesnt, ARC has gingerbread X10 wont get it ever.

I haven't seen anything else out there that is better than the X10 either.

As much as the Atrix has amazing specs, I am afraid it will be stuck at 2.2 for a very long time. The Arc being launched with 2.3 is a major plus.

I will be very interested in the Arc and as a minimum will wait on the release of it before making a decision on the Atrix.

  17. Are you kidding the x10 is a massive piece of suck

No I am not kidding. I have had it since August and not had any issues with it other than the upgrade fiasco. The call quality is excellent, the GPS works, the 2.1 has streamlined and made everything smoother and faster.

May I ask if you own one and in what respect do you find it a "massive suck". :):)

  19. I messed with my friends constantly. No multitouch is lame. The ram is not good and there UI is a bit ehh although their camera is outstanding and the 2.1 works flawless

I will agree with all the positives you said and disagree with the negatives. I will give you the multi touch although I didn't care for it on the Captivate.

I guess we will just have to agree to disagree. ;)

  21. OK lol as a matter of fact I will make you this deal if the atrix isn't out by months end to extend my 30 days I will swap my nexus for the experia and run it through the paces

Haven't you guys learned a lesson with the X10? Ditch SE and go to HTC or Samsung!

Sorry to disagree but the quality of my X10 far exceeds that of HTC or Samsung devices from my personal experience.

The only. other contender for the Arc would be the Motorola Astrix for me. It's so nice to have choices.
