live mail sync

I have roadrunner email as my primary personal account feeding MS Live Mail 2011 on my desktop machine. I also have outlook exchange account from work which syncs beautifully to my Atrix 2. I would like to be able to sync my Live Mail desktop info including my calendar and contacts to the phone also. Currently I am syncing my roadrunner mail directly from the provider but leaves me without my desktop contacts and calendar.

I saw something about using a gmail accout in the middle, but can't find those instructions any longer.

Would appreciate any help.
