Lock Showing on WiFi

On my htc Desire there is a lock showing opposite my Router, I feel sure this is what is stopping me from connecting, is there any way to remove this lock. Moulder

As in lock do you mean on your router there is a picture lock? Or there is a lock symbol next to the name of your router on the phone Menu?

The lock symbol normally means that your router is secured by a passkey that you need to enter before connecting to the router.

It means your network is secured. Press and hold and a text box that shows will allow you to input the password for your secured network.

If you haven't set this up yourself on your Router, look on the label on the back and you should be able to see the default password.

Thanks, yes the lock is on my Mobile Phone next to Router name, what i think i did was to enter the wrong pass word and then saved, and now it is showing the lock, so if i keep entering the correct password it comes up incorrect password, hope that makes sense. Moulder.

In that case long press on the name of your router and select "Forget Network". Now re-select the network and re-enter your passkey. All should work.

Where the lock is there is a note"Secured with WPA/WPA2 PSK" long press and hold brings up "connect to network" only.

It's not a long press that you need. Just normal press and it will bring up a dialogue box and the keyboard to enter the passkey and then press connect.
