    Really want this tablet..

Sadly it doesn't seem to have the same level of dev interest as its predecessor and there are locked bootloaders.

I've been wondering how "Ok" I'll be stuck on Gingerbread..

    I really like ICS.

ICS is in the works for the DroidX, which also has a locked boot loader.

Droid x also seems to have more dev support.

The tablets been out for less than a month, there's still time. I don't recall the color setting the world on fire right away. I have hope that there will be some movement on the rom front, but for now this tablets pretty sweet. It's quick, light, solid, sips battery and so far is super stable (unlike my gTablet). My gTablet has Honeycomb and I find that having "tablet apps" on the 10" screen is way more important than on a 7". I bought this thing as a "super" e reader, but found it way better than that. If it drops in price $50 or so, I might even buy 1 or 2 more for the wife and kids.

I forget it hasn't even been out a month yet.. man how time flies.

I really love the ICS os, but your right, I should probably just go ahead and settle on "functional" and "stable" for now.
