Help Locked out of phone through screen lock.

Hello.
I've just purchased a Wildfire S today and I thought it would be a good idea to put a screen lock on it. I chose the option of the screen pattern and I have now forgotten what pattern I have chosen and I am now locked out. Please tell me there's some way of resetting it from the outside or if there is some sort of pattern I can put in to unlock it.

If you put in the code incorrectly a few times, I think it should ask you for your google password.
