    Hi to all.

I'm locked out of my phone and I believe it's being caused by the "No lock" app. There was an upgrade available for that app, which I performed today, and a few mins later when I went use my phone I got presented with a keyboard to enter a password to continue. I have never set a password for this anyway.

So I'm locked out and cannot access anything....Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Paul

P.S I did the turn off the phone and remove battery move but it did not work.

might want to contact the developer.. see if the is a default password... example: "0000"

if you are rooted... last resort...
    pull battery...
reboot into recovery... wipe all data..(loss of all info and apps)
    start back at fresh..

no, no, if you're rooted, there's a much more elegant way to recover. But I'll wait to hear back if you're rooted or not before explaining.

No, I'm not rooted. I'll try contact the developer. I did try typing 0000 1234 etc. but no joy. Thanks for replying.

Actually, I'm being retahded. you don't need root for my solution. But you do need to know how to use adb shell. Basically you have to navigate to your phone's /data/data directory and delete the app's data. Problem is, I don't know the package name for no lock: com.example.nolock or whatever. Hopefully the dev will get you the password. If not, make him/her give you the adb shell instructions to uninstall the app manually.

Tried phone number and no luck. I emailed the developer. It's kinda bugging me now! I can't use my phone:( One gets 5 tries to enter a password and you get prompted to wait 30 seconds before you can try again. Thanks

I've got it installed, will look up the info to get you there, if possible - novox77 - isn't he going to need usb debugging on? - or can he get to data via adb without it at start?

If he's going to be good to go, please get him started on adb while I play nandroid and get the lookup done - thx.

PS - mega-thanks for this warning, more that happy to help in any way possible.

    The settings file is

    /data/data/org.jraf.android.nolock

    cache appears to be -

    /data/dalvik-cache/data@app@org.jraf.android.nolock-1.apk@classes.dex

It seems to install as a service.

Thanks for the help, but I needed to use my phone and had to factory reset. It's working now but of course I'm starting from scratch. Be careful with that No Lock upgrade!!
