I currently own a HTC Eris. WIth my former Blackberry Storm, I had a program that also was called PatternLock, developed by Tafasa that allowed you to be able to specify which applications you wanted to lock down on your phone, thereby saving you lots of time by NOT having to unlock the WHOLE phone when waking it up. It was great, as it had the same type of dot matrix pattern that our phone currently has on its unlock screen, but you could go into any or all of you app programs and decide which ones would require an "unlock" before getting into them. Many times, I want to pick up my phone and use it, but I am required to unlock the entire phone each time I go in, rather than just having certain programs locked in the background (i.e. emails, texts, pictures, contacts info, etc.), and yet the rest of the phone remains unlocked. I am hoping someone will look into developing a similar system for the Android phone, as I have seen a lot of other folks on this and other Android forums, wanting to be able to do this. And I have searched long and hard , and do not see an app out there that can do this. I am willing to pay money to have an app such as this, and I imagine others would also.
