    2. why does most internet radio app still stops and/or buffers once in in while even if the 3G & wi-fi signal is really good? what could be the causes?

does it not buffer always? * i have this experience with internet radio stations that they just stop or freezes for some reason or buffers every 15-30 mins when "idle" (i.e. continous listening) even if the 3G or wi-fi signal is almost excellent....

I like Pandora. You key in a band and it plays music from similar style music. I have also used Slacker in the past, that gives you genres to choose from similar to XM radio.

This app is great, I am able to listen to all the radio stations I enjoy but can't pick up on my local radio. I am kind of shocked it is free, lets hope it stays that way.

Nope doesn't buffer for me like that, maybe a quick note to the developers?

OK, I know this one: iheartradio. I tried perhaps six different apps and I always return to that one. It is fast, reliable, lots of stations.

    I vote that one.

    Tune In.

    REAL radio stations.

Not some concocted "this is similar to what you like" stuff.

TuneIn, Slacker and Pandora are my faves. I have found that for me, Pandora and Slacker are the best if I am not in the mood for the signal getting interrupted (not that that will not happen eventually) but....

I like TuneIn for local and regional radio in my area.

All of these apps best used with Wi-Fi, instead of 3G or 2G imho!:)

not strictly radio, but 'last.fm' is a good option. It has a play control widget which when used with widgetlocker can be put on the lock screen or anywhere else.
It builds a library of songs based on past and current songs played and recommends songs you may like. It buffers well and runs fine off 3G.

Tunein, iheartradio, and Pandora are on my phone and I'm listening to one of the three all the time.

  16. i would suggest you to contact inkatechnology.co.uk, they can develop internet streaming radio applications.
