Looking for Auto On/Off feature

With my Blackberry bold 9700, it was possible to set an alarm to power on/off the device on a schedule such as shut-off at 11 pm and wake up at 7 am. Is it possible to do this with the Galaxy S2 and if so, how? Does it require an app? If so, which free app will do this.

you can't auto power on/off android phones. I dont believe there's an app to do that, either (at least, not that I'm aware of)

Yeah, I think the phone has to be left on. Are you worried about someone calling you or texting you during your sleep? If that's the case, there are apps like Smart Alarm that will silence all notifications until your morning alarm rings.

The closest I have found is an app called "Auto Airplane" which puts the G2 in and out of airplane mode at the times you choose.

I also miss the Blackberry on/off function, but I think auto airplane is the closest you can get on the G2.
