lost pictures

[Android Question]

I can't find my pictures on my note 3 phone with Verizon. I have some of them but not all of them. They have disappeared. How do I get them back?

Can't find them in? Gallery? My Files? Something else?

Were they in internal or external storage? Did you take them with the camera or did you copy them to the phone? Or download them from the web or from text messages? (All this determines where they might be.)
