I've connected my Incredible to my mac via USB. It charges, but I cannot find it as a disk on my mac anywhere. In the phone I have it set to read as a disk. All I am looking to do is transfer some music. Any suggestions?

Pull down the status bar and select Mount USB.

I just hooked mine to my mac...(2009 mac mini running SL 10.6.3 ) and i set it to "disk drive", and as soon as i plugged it in iPhoto opened and my computer sees it as a disk....let me copy some music over and i will see if it works...

This is strange...it is copying over fine...sending over 600mb's and it is really fast.

But there is already 8 folders of music on the phone....and a folder of about 10 pictures....seems odd....will have to investigate.

But yes it sees it as a disk.

Are you talking about the status bar in the phone? Like the notifications? I pulled that down and there is nothing about mounting USB. Or is there another status bar you are talking about?

    thanks

Reboot your phone with the Micro SD card installed and make sure your default connection type is set to disk drive.. its in the settings menu under Connect to PC.

Must have Mac OS 10.5 or higher, which really bugs me considering there are tons of people still running 10.4 like myself... I downloaded Salling Media Sync, and will try that out tomorrow night when I pick up my phone from Verizon.
