I don't think I can get the gold card to work...

I got an extra MSD from my boss, all he had was a SanDisk 2gb, and I tried the gold card method on both my work laptop and work desktop (both XP). I could not get the SDK to work (prolly the issue) on either, maybe I just don't know what I'm doing with that, so I got the CID vid Terminal Emulator on the MT3G. I follow the steps to flip it, made sure the first two were "00"s, and did the hex edit. I then loaded the file, and I still get "Older Version Is Newwer"... Same both times.

I guess it could be the card, dunno.

When I try to run the SDK, it gives an error that a file can't be reached. DL'ed it, placed it, nogo (both times). The drivers also won't install. I tried the UnLockr method, same.

So, basically, I can't use the SDK. I just got the CID from the emulator, hex-edited, and failed. Is my not being able to use the SDK the issue?

Anyone in Austin wanna help me with this? lol

I just got back from looking at apartments in Austin. If you're willing to help me unload the U-haul Memorial Day weekend, maybe we can work something out. ;)

I would absolutely be in for that, except that I am on-call for work that whole weekend and the next week :(

    Welcome to Austin though!

Damn near any place would be better than Houston. lol I've been telling people lately, if I don't get out of here soon, they'll be reading about me in the paper.

Thank gawd for Google Nav for getting around new cities. :D

Just from casual reading of goldcard instructions, I can say that wouldn't work. Goldcards require a numeric code specific to your phone. There's no one-size-fits-all goldcard.

Absolutly, but someone that has done successfully not only has experience and can help in that regard, but they also have a card known to work, whereas I only have a San Disk...

When I tried to make a Goldcard a while back I was having the same trouble. I heard that Kingston was what I should use, because it apparently is a magical SD card LOL!

I'm in BCS, Central Texas w00t
