Make Eris into wifi hotspot to use with Ipad?

Anyone want to help me turn my Eris into a wifi hotspot so I can use with my Ipad? I know I have to root but then need lots of help.

1. ROOT
2. Install aNetShare app (or one of many other wifi hotspot apps)
3. Turn on aNetShare and start your "wifi hotspot"
4. Have your Ipad search for your phones hotspot
5. ???
6. Profit

If you need help rooting, then you are going to have to do lots of reading in the Rooting section up above. Don't expect many people to walk you through it step by step since there are dozens of self help threads. To root, you are going to have to be willing to learn most of it yourself.

Most ROMs come with WiFi Tether built in. I'm running White Widow and the WiFi tether works beautifully with my iPod Touch

Yep! I'm running Aloysius 2.0.1 v12 and it also has wifi tether built in. One touch access.

I was scared about rooting, but wow, am I glad I did!
