malware warning

I'm not getting it, but I think I may have clicked "Ignore" or whatever last time.
okay, so it isn't in the 'exceptions' on firefox, so I guess the threat is gone once again? *shrug*

But, to lighten the mood around here...

One of the ads links to a malware site, was my basic understanding.

Don't click on those, I guess.

We're not injecting anything on to anyone's PCs or mobiles.

Suuuuurrrreeee... Jk :D

I would rather get a virus that I can get rid of than not be able to view the forums! :D I'm not afraid of a virus!

Since all this happened I have not been able to access PMs through the app. Other than that, on my Ubuntu Box, I have been able to access everything by ignoring the warnings. Everything works on the app, just not the Messages section. I can send a PM by bringing up settings and selecting New PM but I cannot view the section as a whole. I get an "error" toast message. Thanks to everyone working on all these issues.

Phandroid apparently contains Malware again, anyone else getting it?

malware.png

I just had my antivirus block / delete and iFrame exploit file (sorry, I couldn't get a screenshot:mad:) when I entered the "The Lounge" forum. Is this still lingering around on AF. BTW, I have been on and off the site all day and this was the first occurrence.

:(

Saw your personal message, will try to get an update on this, but given the hour, it might not be tonight.

I didn't PM, I used private chat w/ staff. Not sure how it shows up on your end. Anyway, my work laptop had to be wiped last week because my company antivirus didn't block it, but it did today, so I know the malware issue is real and thought you would like to know that it was back.

I'm not necessarily looking for a response so much as trying to let you know that someone is still trying to undermine / attack / hijack your users (myself included). I thoroughly enjoy this site, and want to do my part to help protect it. I only went the chat route b/c the thread in "The Lounge" was closed and the entire forum for Community Info and Talk where I could post about it had no viewers so I didn't know how long it might go unnoticed.

I know I am being blunt. I have been responsible for large networks before, I have developed and run web sites for a multibillion dollar company before, and I know that the earlier the people in charge are notified about problems, the better.
