maps update stopped it from working

maps was working fine prior to installing the update. Now it will not pinpoint my location. It had no problem locating me at home before. My phone is three months old. Does anybody with a phone purchased within the last couple of months experiencing the same thing.

I read about some new release floating around that suppose to fix this. Has anybody seen or heard of it and did it work for you?

it would help if you told us what phone you have, if its rooted, etc... Have you tried a battery pull? Have you tried uninstalling the update?

Thanks for replying but found the answer. samsung has a fix but to use had to unroot apply fix and root again "sounds like a pig" all this darn rooting.

There are a number of possible causes for this sort of thing. Keep in mind that your GPS app and your GPS receiver are two separate things. Apps such as GPS Status are handy for troubleshooting GPS issues.
