What you need to do is find it on your computer as an apk file and put on your droid via usb mass storage. I don't have the apk file, but once you find it, this is what you do:

    1. Download from internet to your computer
    2. Plug in your Droid to your computer and activate mass storage
    3. drag the .apk file you DL'ed onto the SD card of your droid.
    4. Disconnect your droid from your computer

You now have the file on your Droid, and need to install it. But...
Here's where my help ends. I don't know how to do this without an app called ASTRO, but you can't get it since you don't have the market. Can someone tell us how to install an .apk file on a Droid without having ASTRO or some other kind of file browser?

It sounds to me like the market app was deleted off your /system partition. This can only be done with root or if that area is corrupt.

    Are you rooted?

This one may be out of my league. Unless you are willing to root or flash an .sbf to fix it, I cannot think of anything to get it fixed. You might be able to take it to a Verizon store, but it's up in the air as to whether they will do anything since you bought it used (I'm assuming from a non official Verizon retailer).
