Sorry been out of it for a bit. I can repack the kernel with the com boot img.

Found it. Had a blind moment

I added your changes and the bench in antutu jumped from the 12588 that I achieved with the CPU over clock to 13913. Amazing but still shy of the 15k I'm trying to get out of this thing. I'm not sure what's up with quadrant but the benches haven't moved.

i havent been able to get over 15k on any 8960 device yet and trust me I've been around lol. i think if the row gov is added it may boost to ~14200? but i think with improvements we will get there

I'm thinking of bumping the CPU clock up. Might take it to the full 1.8 you proposed. Ive made a zip for stock and DSF. Once I'm 100% that its safe as a daily driver I'll post it. I'm also going to start testing with cm10. Id really like to build ICS from aosp, but am lacking the hardware to do so

wait you got almost 14k on less than 1.8? o_O
    wow thats awesome
the only thing stopping me from pushing out a source based rom for every phone imaginable is hardware limitations lmao
us folks on the galaxy victory side have wifi working but it reboots our phones for some reason (mem leak error or bad addr?) on cm10

Yeah take a look at my source. the clock speed is at 1.67. 15k can happen

Just ran a second test and scored 14404
  15. rbheromax

    rbheromax Well-Known Member

so 1.8 will push it past i think.these are great scores

Im comfortable with 1.7 as this chip is designed for that speed, but there may be other ways to pick up a few points

well im here adding every iosched i can find, and trying to hack in the nonworking cpu govs
i already added usb fast charge mod
i heard OV the mem channels by 100 mV will offer more speed
im just playing around in source to see what i already know how to modify

    What about the fiops scheduler?
  19. rbheromax

    rbheromax Well-Known Member

never heard of it until well..just now lol
i threw it in there and 2 functions error-ed out, so i rewrote one, and im working on the other one, but tonight i should have it completed and made a commit on github :D

After installing it, what would be the procedure to remove it? Restore a previous nand?
  23. donjuro

    donjuro Well-Known Member

So was fiops added to the kernel?
  24. jimsmith80

    jimsmith80 Well-Known Member

Fiops has not been added yet, and restoring your boot partition will remove it.

im trying to add fiops but it doesnt wanna play nice with our kernel version (3.0.8) and the way elevator.c is setup. Im trying to hack it in without removing too much or adding too much. Every other sched goes in just fine (vr, row, sio) but this one wants to be a douchebag.
