Messages Congrats message

Hi all, got my HTC Hero over the weekend, originally locked to Orange but got a Vodafone SIM+Rebel SIM now, and I love it.

Anyways, with the HTC Messages widget, I can't seem to delete the 'Hi! Congrats on your new HTC phone blah blah blah' message. I tap on the icon which looks like a trashcan, but it doesn't do anything! I want it to display conversations like it does in the preview before you add the widget lol.

I'm sure this easy to do. If I hold down the trashcan icon instead, then of course it askes me to drag the widget around instead.

If you short press on the actual message then it should open up in the conversation style. You can then press menu to delete it or long press on the message to access any links / numbers in it.

Many thanks. I dunno what happened but I texted a few people and the next time I restarted my phone, the welcome message disappeared by itself. Oh well, at least it's gone now
