Help Messaging Delay

Does anyone also have this issue. When I turn the phone on, tap the messaging button, and then tap on a text message conversation that I want to see and reply to, there is a 6-8 second delay in for it to open. The screen goes dim and it says loading. Anyone else have this issue?

Nope.. I see a loading screen for about a half a second. Do you have a lot of messages saved? I usually clear all of mine out every few days.

Do you have any 3rd party messaging apps installed?

No third party applications. But I do not delete messages, there are thousands in there. I didn't have this issue with the Motorola Droid though...

Not sure if that would definitely help, it was just an idea. I would think that the Incredible would have enough processing power to not have that delay, even if there was 100,000 msgs.
