Have you tried factory resetting it?

so do I just remove sd card and click on factory data reset in the privacy section? is that all?

I'm ready to chance it let me know before I chicken out

I was going to reset and I noticed my contacts on Google and not updated when I add one to my phone. Is that automatic or do I have to add to Google also

When you add a new contact there is suppose to... I suck at explaining lol
Well when you add one you it gives you an option. Tap on option type and a popup will ask where you want the contact saved. The 2nd option is where it saves it to google.

if I hit save it just saves and closes. If I got to options it asks export to sd. If I hit google it just sets up an e mail screen to send from google mail ac.....
This lg metro update has destroyed my phone. I need to know how to do it myself step by step

lol I added the contacts to google manually and they went to the phone, but if I add to the phone they don't go to google....it's done anyway, just hope I can get them back to the phone after I reset

If all all of them are saved to your gmail account then they will be safe.

Well go back to the contacts u have and edit all of them to save to the gmail address that you have on the phone . Or you can just save what's on the phone to the external sd card and make sure they save . Then goto each and either add to the gmail on your pc/laptop or do each on the phone just make sure they save to gmail account

ok done, funny though I saved my apps to sd, removed the card. I put the card back in when to app mgr and there was nothing on it, I went to the marked re loaded the apps and they still had my stuff on them like my poker still had my 60k....loh well lets see if this is better, no settings in about phone changed and still cant watch live tv. so I think nothing changed

Your phone won't be affected by he merger if it isn't on the list. If you want to know where to get all the info about the baseband, software version, android version, etc. Go to settings>about phone.

I'm done now any txt over like 10 lines wont send, it says message expired, also the 4g and the Wi-Fi symbols are on at the same time. They have some nerve not training their people on this

Wow i been waiting for someone with this issue and can say i have been talking to Metro and the Corporate stores . If you think and look back MY STATEMENT WAS WITH THIS UPDATE WHAT HAPPENS IF IT ***** UP THE LG ESTEEM . :banghead: well i am on the east side about 1/2 hour from New York. As of 1:00 pm on 12-aug-2013 i had a problem with the MMs and SMS . Was told from Metro that i need i needed a refresh of the MIN. O yes it was done . Didnt work . Was told i needed a over the AIR programing they did . Guess what this didnt work. Now they said that my MMS needed to be refreshed . Hahaha stupid shitz didn't . Now i have a ticket open and as i was told from the CORPORATE store METRO WAS TOLD THAT THIS WAS GOING TO BE A PROBLEM AND THEY SAID PROCEED . NOW THE CORPORATE STORE SAID it will be days or months before it will be repaired . So as i see Metro will owe all of us some data charges back cause they know but they are PLAYING WITH US. they no and was told this wouldnt work and also no that 4g lte isnt in all areas yet . This was suppose help and make the signal stronger but it failed o yes BACKFIRED . Now as i said what happens if our devices are ****** up . And as u see everyone talking about a new device . But this LG ESTEEM isn't dead and wasnt never dead . Now what can we do .

i think with all the pep we having working on this piece of art,the bugs,lags,etc will get fixed prob way before metro gets on it,i imagine the artists are looking at all the probs pep are having and wouldnt doubt a new zve rom or a zip flash to fix this will be out soon!!!! give a lil time,you know they will fix you up alot quicker than the metro specialists and otas!!!

hope so cause they will need to give me back some bill money cause this is eating away my data cause its searching for the download :smokingsomb: a friend i know at the corporate store said if the problem continue just flash back to zvb or zvc don't know what that will do but i did the zvb cause thats what came with the phone and it works the mms is super fast and couldn't believe i had data without this fuzzed up zve. try it out if you have problems with zve . this is why you need to make them backups some devices are not made for all the upgrades it takes time to fix the knots and kinks

wow thought it was something I did wrong. I did resets I did mulitable updates...sucks, also cant send picture texts, and whats with the 4g and wifi on at the same time

Well it turns out that 4g still doesnt exsist in some areas cause they are in the cut or low line areas . But this is where tmobile is helping metro pcs. Cause the two can do better with this cause in those areas tmobile or another carrier is the roaming coverage area. But they working on it . I found out why the mobilecare on our phones dont work . But if its a problem and you cant wait for fix use the lgpnst to flash your tot of the zvb . This works and mms and sms moves fast . U can root and update the build dot prop to have the hspa on it. this Would work and may eat up data But till then mms and sms will work sometimes . O mms is picture message:screwy::what:

well so far with the #2 3.0.1 rom,my 4g doing great,texts,pic mess,going threw with no prob,im jus mad i cant tether to my nexus and i had it working,but with the update to the phone,and since asus fixed my nexus,my build # is diff,but i got it rooted finally : ) and my flashlight settings vanished since i flashed bt fix thought that might help tethering,nope,so guess ill just tinker with the phone and all ,wish i could have my rom #2 2.5 bk,my fone loved it,ran flawlessly ,oh well
