    Hi
I have a Milestone with me current with SHOLS_U2_02.31.
However I have seen releases in the interwebs with different versions
I know the last numbers (31) probably indicate small incremental software upgrades.
But I have seen the middle number with 02, 03 and 04... which I am not sure what the differences are.

I have seen both Android 2.0 and Android 2.1 releases on Milestone on 02 version..

Can anybody explain the middle number?

    I haven't seen U2_04 yet, just U2_01, U2_02 and U2_03.

Here is a list of all the official firmwares:
    motorola_milestone:sbf [And Developers]

The middle number stands for SHLA, SHOLS and SGC. (Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela and Canad are normally U2_03, China is U2_01 and others are U2_02).

Where did you buy your Milestone and what network are you on?

Any features list on these roms? sounds like what a major advancement for the milestone but would like to hear from others that have tried it out.

If you already have 2.1 then there's nothing new really. There are a couple of bug fixes like the alarm issue and the "music playing by itself" issue.

Im using shols.3.11, from telus. Since i flashed ive noticed increase in battery life a little. And not a single force close since i did it. All i had to do was reupdate root, and push my boot animation. But me likey very much.

so you already had your cell rooted, updated, rerooted and you're all ok?

edit: i updated using motorola software update, reflashed the vulnerable recovery, and rerooted.
i can feel the phone being snappier.
