Been wasting hours trying to connect my Milestone to my iPad running MyWi but it looks like the fix is to patch the wpa_supplicant as was done here Android Ad-hoc support hack/wpa_supplicant - xda-developers - unfortunately none of the wpa_supplicant's over there (05 and 06) work on the Milestone (it stops scanning for networks).

Anyway I had a problem with the backup of my original 2.1update1 wpa_supplicant so if anyone can share theirs that would be great, would save me having to reflash.

    It's in \system\bin

    Thanks !

Thanks a ton, it works !

I'm clearly pushing my luck but you wouldn''t happen to know how the guys here Android Ad-hoc support hack/wpa_supplicant - xda-developers managed to patch the wpa_supplicant to add the required code to enable AdHoc ? Been looking for compilers and decompilers, but no luck so far.

    Again, thanks !
