Help MissingApp Icons

Recently I had an update (AT&T) to 4.3 and I didnt notice until now, but some of my icons are missing. I have some apps that had shortcuts on my home screen but they have disappeared. The apps are still installed since it auto updates them and googleplay store shows them installed but I cannot find them. Theres no listing in my apps/app manager. I would uninstall/reinstall but I cant figure out a way to find them.

Suggestions?

What happens when you search for them on Play?

It shows as installed. One had an update waiting, which I did, but it still doesnt show.
One thing I just noticed also... I had shortcuts in a folder and they are missing also but the icon for the folder shows the thumbnails of the missing apps.

Strange. So they arent in the app drawer?
You can uninstall them in Play (then re install)
