I maybe got in over my head. This whole root thing with me is I don't understand it to be honest. When I got my phone 2 weeks ago started browsing the forums and seeing all the cool things you can do! Maybe I made a mistake doing the root thing! I have read some links but it just like chinese to me, I don't understand it. My question is can I unroot this thing back to normal? But then again I have know idea how to do that. The only reason I could root it was it was just hit 1 button and it did the rest and went so smoothly! But putting stuff on sd card or going to my pc and loading on the phone I don't know where to begin. Sorry I really wanted to do cool things with this but maybe I should just try to get my phone back to normal.

If you rooted with z4root, just unroot it from there.

Thanx for replying. Yes I have z4root so just hit the unroot button and it should delete everthing back to normal? What about the apps I downloaded like titanium and rom manager and tether? Do I need to uninstall the apps first before I unroot or will hitting the unroot button in z4root do that for me?

They won't harm your phone if you unroot, they just won't work. I would keep one to test and make sure its unrooted, if they still work youre still rooted. If that doesn't unroot you the only way I know is to install rsd 4.8 on your pc, download the 2.2 sbf and flash your phone back to stock.

It doesn't hurt to leave z4root or any rooted apps on your phone. Who know, you may change your mind next week.

Apps like z4root don't last very long on Market so best to install them while you can.

There's a lot so stuff you can do with root. It's just an admin account that can do more than you can with your default account. My first root app was one that let me reboot my phone instead of having to turn it off and on.

Yes I did, know did I understand it fully no. I really appreciate what you guys telling me because I am so new to all this. The thing is when you say hook up the phone to the computer and zip, unzip, flash I don't know what that is. Do you just hook the phone up and a box will pop on the screen on my computer? I guess I just need to spend more time reading I think I will keep the z4root app but just wont reinstall it right now "keep it for a later date". I guess I need to read and understand about transferring files from pc to the phone or how to make folders on my pc so I can unzip files to put on phone. maybe there is another forum anyone knows about the pc. Thanks again and maybe I'll just keep reading the forums and trying to understand everything.
