    Hi,
I have an o2 contract sim card from an iPhone that I'm trying to get working in my htc desire. It appears I've got the Internet working but not mms. Anyone know the apn settings?
    Thanks

    Dunbad,

Coming from an iPhone to a Desire I find myself in the same position however I can't connect to the internet. How did you overcome this?

Same for me... I have internet working by basic setup and can receive MMS messages, but not send!!! maybe we need to move over to a different price plan... I'm on a iPhone Simplicity plan at the moment!

I'm not even at that point chaps as I can only make/receive calls. How did you import the settings - any pointers?

All the settings are installed on the initial setup... you should have chosen 'post pay' (if you pay monthly_... if you chose 'pre pay' then maybe thats why its not working????

Degouder I know where your coming from! I found the apn settings on this site. Do a search and see how you get on. No joy or if I have time ill post you what apn settings I have. I'm now all good and everything is working right. My desire was sim free, but wanted my contracted o2 iPhone sim card working in it. I've got a giff gaff sim card now in my iPhone which I strongly recommend!

My HTC hero also doesn't want to send MMS messages. It lets me compose them, but then just won't send them. Everything else is in full working order, internet, e-mail, etc. All of which go through packet data when not near my wifi, just the same as MMS messages are supposed to.

There was never any options to set up MMS on initial setup, so how do I get the MMS working now?

As long as you have reception to the mobile network the handset will establish a data connection through GPRS or 3G while remaining connected to the wifi network and send the mms.
