Help mobile broadband?

I was looking at the specs and it said the d2 doesn't have mobile broadband. Im not real clear on what mobile broadband is. Can someone help with tht and when would I use it? It sounded a lot like tethering.

Where? What specs? It supports REV. A speeds just like X and D1 and allows for wifi mobile hotspot. Maybe its meaning you can't tether via USB.

It was on the Verizon website. That's what i was assuming was it was meaning but I'm not sure
