Help Mobile Network - "Turning on"

Had my HDH for about a month now with no problems until this.

I can no longer get a 3G connection, Under settings>Wireless&Networks>Mobile network constantly reads "turning on" with the option being grayed out. Turning on and off has produced nothing as well as Airplane Mode on and off.

I've been reading around and seems like quite a few people have this problem? However I can't see a definitive answer or reason for it, other then it may be linked to having WiFi on for too long/coming out of WiFi mode?

Will probably be phoning orange tomorrow to try and get some help but in the meantime any help would be greatly appreciated.

Holding down the power button and selecting restart gets it working for me. But very annoying to have to do this all the time.

Didn't work for me :/ Just in the middle of a factory reset so I'll keep you posted!

Factory Reset came up with nothing! Mobile network - "Turning on" and still grayed out..damn

Are you sure your APN Settings are correct?

Orange UK indeed (Signed up to the T-mobile network share as well)

Under APN's I have:

Orange Internet
Consumer Broadband
Orange MMS

What would be the correct settings?

*Edit* - These the correct ones?
Name = Orange Internet
APN = orangeinternet (case sensitive)
MCC:234
MNC:33
APN Type: default
Ignore everything else and leave it as <Not set>

If so then yup they're the ones I'm using!

Try those, looks as if you've missed some.

Problem solved!

APN settings seemed to be correct however under authentication CHAP had been selected. Selected none for authentication and restarted. However my HTD then told me mobile network had failed due to incorrect APN settings. Reset to default and everything is working fine (CHAP is still selected under authentication?)!

I had the same problem last night (Monday PM), also on Orange UK. Phone wouldn't connect to the mobile network, as the original poster said, in settings > mobile network, it said 'turning on' but couldn't untick the box.

couldn't work out what was wrong, so left it off until the morning and it started working again.

maybe something was wrong with the network?
