Which is better for the phone hybrid,evdo,1x and which name Nam is best to use.
Anyone please? I would also like to know what the differences are.
for mode of operation 1x is voice and text, evdo only is for data only (no text or calls)..u want to keep it in hybrid.
Thanks for the reply, the names dont make sense though lol What about NAM?
im not sure about nam but if ur confused just remember,1x=voice and text, evdo=data, so the hybrid enables both to operate (not at the same time of coarse).
Im guessing you would switch to one of these depending if you dont have data or if you only have data for your system to run better? Or are these options just pointless? lol
well, i keep mine on hybrid but if you are in a low coverage area it is best to switch to 1x so it isnt jumping between signals...evdo only would b for a situation where u are tethering and you dont want a phone call or a text message to interrupt the data session.
That's good to know due to the fact I use my phone to tether a lot. Thanks for the advice, will do.
your welcome..i use tethering alot too and that really helps
You didn't say that u can also use 1x for data also I tried it works.
yeah 1x works for data but slower speeds
I wish I knew what nam was.
just looked up nam and this is what i found:
The NAM is the electronic memory in the cellular phone that stores the telephone number and an electronic serial number. Phones with dual- or multi-NAM features offer users the option of registering the phone with a local number in more than one market.
Seems like nam doesn't do much of anything as far as battery life goes......
