Oh the Hero 2.1 upgrade? You can get it now from Sprint, but you have to supply them with a bottle of headlight fluid and a can of elbow grease.

I'm pretty convinced Sprint hates me.

So you have to ask yourself... What is the problem with the HERO? Makes you wonder?

Conspiracy theory here. Make the hero users wait for their update till the evo comes out. Think about it, there are way more us hero users than the moment. We are the majority and they want us to buy the evo more than moment owners. It may not be plausible but I really think this is because of the evo.

Realistically, the Moment's update should have been out eons before the Hero's. Its the price you pay for stuff like Sense. I think its pretty sad that the Moment is JUST NOW getting their update when we're only a week or two behind (hopefully anyway).

I'm more irritated with the fact that Verizon has already pushed out the Eris update. I don't know why Sprint is taking longer to update the same exact phone, but I have to say I'm not surprised =|

^I gather from the Moment forum that it's mislabeled. Those that have d/l'ed it have confirmed that it's 2.1.

I blame you!!! If you would have kept your Moment, us Hero owners would have our update.

    Sprint.com/momentupdate
It says CL14, but when you try to download the update it says around 100MB instead of 88 or whatever is posted. After installation it will prove to be 2.1, not CL14.

Foodman, didn't you have a Moment not so long ago?

Really? Pisses you off? I can't understand this, if you want 2.1 so bad go root and install a custom ROM. There is no reason to let something like this upset you.

wouldn't surprise me a bit if the Hero update comes next Friday.

Not that it matters, considering DC 2.08.1 already runs better than I need a rom to run, and has more features than I need.

I just want to wait till it's rooted. Making sure I can get rid of apps and run it the way I want is the important part.

Helped the Mrs. set it up tonight. So far it's pretty darn nice. I just might finally have to root to get 2.1 just for the sake of marital harmony! ;)

You will actually be two up on her since she will still have all the sprint bloatware installed and of course she is using a moment. :)

why not run one of the custom 2.1 rom's already out? And then remove the apps you don't want. As soon as the official 2.1 drops, there'll be a dozen custom ones out easily updated from the ones out now, most with the sprint crap already removed, and faster than can be
