Monitoring data usage per app

Hi

Have you found any app to monitor data usage app by app?

I really need something to find out which app is transmitting, because since I installed Froyo, I'm having ridiculous amounts of data downloaded to the phone, but I don't know where it's all going.
My phone (HTC Desire) is not rooted I have the official HTC OTA update.

I'm not aware of an app which could do this specifically.

You could try System Panel to monitor what is happening live. It lists all the current active applications and a bar shows up on the left side when they are actually doing something. Total data received and transmitted shows in a bar at the top of the screen It's not ideal but monitoring both of these together should help you to pinpoint the cause.

I use 3g watchdog pro:
