Help Monoprice Slimport Not Working?

Hey I just got a monoprice slimport to hdmi connector and seems isnt working. Im plugging in to an Emerson model number LF391EM4. Works for a minute then screen just goes blank and audio stops working. Any ideas whats wrong??

I bought one from monoprice when they first arrived and it did not work. It would work with a delay on vertical aspect ratio, but would go black when trying to go horizontal. I let customer service know it wasn't working and they refunded me without any hassle. Sorry that's not an actual solution

I messed around with some settings in my tv. Also got a new HDMI cord. Seems to be working alright for now.
