This is a spin off of another topic "Most Under Rated Movie"
Every Harry Potter movie
Great special effects....weak story line
Yeah, but.... Kate Winslet drawing scene....
Avatar. Great visuals, granted, but for me that doesn't compensate for cardboard cutout "characters" and a cliche-storm of anvilicious "humans are horrible" "plot".
true true. the story line is nowhere near as good as its publicly talked about
Really? I thought it was AMAZING. Then again, most people love Pulp Fiction. I think it's a giant turd.
Spiderman 3 was way way way over rated. The dance number was enough to make me never watch again.
Alot of Oscar winning movies are overrated...
This is very very true.
My entry however, "inception"
Godzilla, it was totally over hyped and in the end was rubbish.
Wrath of the Titans
I couldn't agree more with that one.
Forrest Gump. I really hated that movie and it is like 5 hours long, that is a lot of bad movie right there.
My momma said, "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what's inside."
(i couldn't help it, really)
Really? I thought that movie was different then most thriller/action movies
Mine would also definitely have to be avatar, I don't get how it was so popular..
Its not at all though. I think we are now all "pre-conditioned" to look for twists in a movie. I found it predictable. The idea was good but it was poorly executed. At best, I can only describe it as "Meh". A contrived attempt.
The problem with Inception was it was just really a movie about people sleeping
I can see where you are coming from, I think what made me like it so much was just the concept
Has that even come out yet?
Oh and i reccomend no one ever watch junkyard dog, went to a friend's for a movie night and it is quite honestly the worst written, acted, and directed movie I have seen.
Yes I like the concept....
I'm going to take a lot of heat for this, but I have to say The Dark Knight. It wasn't terrible, but it was just a typical action movie to me. If Heath Ledger hadn't died, I don't think it would have gotten so much attention. IMO, those over the top performances are the easiest thing for an actor to do. Also, the whole end section with Two Face felt tacked on and unnecessary. This is coming from someone who liked Batman Begins a lot, likes the director a lot, and likes Christian Bale a lot. (check out his performance in The Mechanic if you haven't seen it). I just don't see the worship for The Dark Knight being justified. Overrated.
Also, "Precious" was terrible.
OH GOD !! Please don't say it sucked.
