i have problems making corrections to text when using my desire, is there a way to move the cursor to a certain point within text? some posts mention arrow keys but i can't find them anywhere.

is here also a way to select parts of text for editing? what i mean is something similar to when you can press and hold the shift key along with using arrows keys to select text on a normal keyboard.

umm... tap nearby.. My fat fingers usually get close, and then use the 'optical ball' or what ever its called to move the I bar...I cant understand how it moves too fast, mine wont go fast enough!

May not be as helpful as others in the community, but it is entirely accurate advice. The only way ive found to slow it down is to not move my finger as quickly.

Dont see what the issue is with that?

though your suggestion is not ideal, it's certainly a step forward for me - until now i wasn't even aware of this.
