Umm your contacts and applications are stored on the SD Card you may have application data stored there but no apps

well i can't install the updates to my apps. so i'm guessing that it has to do with my storage, and the only thing big enough to house that would be a sd card.

    here's one way...

    1. backup your APKs to SD (Estrongs File Manager)
    2. move backup APKs from SD to computer
    3. backup your contacts to the cloud (google, yahoo, etc.)
    4. restore APKs and contacts

    OR

    * copy and paste all data from old SD to new SD? perhaps i'm not understanding your issue

you can only install apps on the internal memory, on the phone. i didn't have any issues.
