OK...I'm sure I'll be flamed...but after about 40 min of searching the forums, my ADD kicked in and I couldn't do it anymore. (just kidding)

I managed to root my droid yesterday and put version 2.1 on it. I, for the life of me, can't remember the link that I followed from this site, but the files were from late December and updated multiple times..

The problem I'm having is the phone is now sooooo slow and crashing all the time I'm trying to figure out if I could move it to a recommended 2.1 that people are now using, or go back to 2.01.

I would greatly appreciate any help, links or suggestions. I'm very new to the Android world, but as with my Blackberry, always tried the latest and greatest firmware.

I do have the BCDMRS-20100113-1639 backup file that it created on my desktop, but not sure if I just put it back in the Nandroid folder and reboot....does that go back to 2.01 or what.

    Thanks for any help!!!

Edit: Here's the link with the software I used....found it.

Yea just put that folder back where it was and then go into recovery by holding x when powering up and select nandroid, then restore. If you want to try a new 2.1 I would recommend humancyborg's 2.1 which is on alldroid.org. DON"T USE DROIDFORUMS for rom's they don't stay updated.

Actually I can't link you, but in the forum you need to go to Development>Motorola>Droid and it is in the thread titled [ROM] Nexus Droid

Thanks for the reply and tips. I've tried 2 different builds of 2.1 tonight and got the same reboots and slowness I'm trying to avoid. Switched back to 2.01 for now (thanks again for how to do this) so I'll just wait until the official is released.

    I appreciate the help!!! :D
