    PROBLEM: Muffled sound
    MOTOROLA MILESTONE V 2.0,2.01,2.1

How do turn off CrystalTalk ??

I have a general audio problem from dynamic echo canceller ( CrystalTalk ) dampens the sound of my microphone. ( Muffled sound )

In another forum, I read that covering the rear guard, could resolve the problem.

Should be possible to switch off CrystalTalk, but this is not possible. Proof of this, is that devices using bluetooth the sound is perfect.

Try placing a small piece of black electrical tape over the little ambient microphone (the ambient microphone is NOT the gold screen on the back of the phone, it is a very small "pin hole" just above the top "foot" on the back of the phone (When looking at the back of the phone (vertically) with the camera at the top, the ambient mic is located just down and to the right of the headphone jack in the top ridge of the little rubber "foot")).

Cover this microphone very firmly with a small piece of black electrical tape (work it into the groove), I have seen this fix audio issues.

    Hope this helps.
