Hi I asked about this problem in the Optimus GT540 forum 2 weeks ago and nobody was able to help, so I thought I would try here. Hope you can help. :) I have an lg optimus gt540 android mobile as stated and when I use the music player that comes with android it lists every track twice on my screen. So if a album has 10 tracks it doubles it up to 20 tracks and it does this for every track. If I play an album I hear a track twice before hearing the next track twice and so on. I have a 16gb SD memory card with plenty of space left on it in the mobile. I have about 80 albums on the memory card. I have checked and there is only 1 of every track on the memory card and not two as the music player is listing. Do you know how I can fix this problem? I installed the avg free version app to see if my mobile has any viruses but my mobile is not powerful enough to run it and it locks up, so I have un-installed it. Thanks if you can help.

Try (from home screen) Settings > Applications > Manages Apllications > (all apps tab, if there) > Music >

Then click "clear data" and "clear cache" and reboot, and see if that does the trick.

If that doesn't work, you might want to try using something like ID3Fixer to clean up the database that Android uses to reference the music stored on your phone. ID3Fixer doesn't actually change the ID3 tags of the song files-- just Android's database of what it thinks is stored on your phone. I've never used it to solve the problem that you're experiencing, so I can't say for certain that it would work.

Can anyone direct me to an App that will allow my Android2 to scan AR bars?

    Welcome to AF!

You might want to start a new thread to ask your question for the best chance at a response. Though I'm not sure what a AR bar is.

Yeah... you should probably start a new thread but... I use the free app, Google Goggles to scan QR codes & bar codes. There are many QR code scanner apps out there, but Google Goggles is better because it not only can scan QR & bar codes, but it can also scan real-world objects. For example, you can scan a coffee maker, and Google Goggles will often come up with the make, model number, and a list of online retailers who sell it.

Hi. Thanks for your help so far and sorry for replying so late. Clearing the cache did not work unfortunately as suggested by another poster. Could you give me a link for a ID3Fixer program? or do I download it on the Android Marketplace? Also could someone recommend a better mp3 player app for the android mobile? Thanks if you can advise. :)

WinAmp is a better music player. It is free and have PC sync option.
