Astro, Sprite Mobile Backup, Barcode Scanner, Battstatt, ChompSMS/Handcent, Facebook, Twydroid, Engadget, Gameboid :D, IMdb, Layar, Rock Player (one of the better video players, found it better than Yxplayer), Trillian, Uninstaller, Where's My Droid, Widget Locker & finally Zedge :D (Also got NFS Shift on mine)

DO NOT get an app killer! Yes, you do not need one!

I actually spoke to a HTC repair guy about my phone and he advised adding a Task Killer as it would help with various aspects of the phone, like shuting down.

Springpad - for note taking and syncing (imho better than evernote, works offline too...)
aRemote - if you have the Plex media server
    IMDB
RemoteDroid - wifi keyboard and mouse
    Google Sky Map
NewsRoom - a great rss feed reader
Shush! - wonderful utility that lets you put your phone into silent mode for a specified amount of time (so you don't need to remember to turn the ringer on)
TxtPad Lite - the best notepad, reads UTF-8...

There have been at least a dozen of these threads. They invariably get moved by a mod to the apps section - Because that is what it is for. ;)

SkyRemote is you want to record Sky Programs from your phone to your Sky DigiBox
Documents to Go, for all those Excel, Word and Powerpoint docs that you carry around.
Co-Pilot Live 8 for all your SatNav needs.
ACar to keep track of your motoring expenditures.
World At War for your gaming needs.
3D Cube for your music needs
Shazam for finding out the names of those tracks when you just can't remember.
Twydroid for accessing your twitter account
3G Watchdog to keep an eye on your 3G data allowance.

why don't you guys just sign up to appbrain.com? Brillaint site. You can browse apps there, and then push installs to your phones, and also you can add your friends who have desires and see what they have on their phones as well, all through the PC. Pretty awesome.
