    SetCPU
    Wireless Tether

Those are the only ones I can think of off the to of my head... mainly because those were the two reason I rooted, haha ;)

(well that and I love customizing stuff)

so far this is the list-i havent got around to the QR codes yet and im still adding to the list. not all of them are free. some are paid apps, and some are free apps that you may have to google for such as setcpu-first google hit is the link at xda.

    cache cleaner
    setcpu
    root explorer
    pure calendar and messenger widget
messaging widget(that one you showed me)
    switch pro
    system moniter(by skwid)
    fancy widget

I have both, but for the way I use backups MyBackup Pro has been more reliable and has caused less problems.

    Root Explorer
    Cache cleaner
    Switch Pro
    Metamorph
    Linpack

Found Titanium to be more trouble than it's worth with 2.2

Froyo auto installs your apps with every new install... and kaos has lots of them.

For a cache cleaner, I use Quick App Clean Cache.

CacheCleaner- really cool app even though it doesn't clear all cache

SetCPU - finally got my OC worked out like I want it thanks to a post by Frisco (thanks Frisco)

AdFree - No ads on apps or web pages woohoo

Easy Tether Pro - my installed ROM (Evil Eris) has the tethering apps but I have already paid for this one, and PDAnet shut down my connection routinely so I emailed the Dev and asked nicely for a full refund :)

Launcher Pro Beta - I only use one screen (have the number of screens set at 1) with my "essentials" on it. I don't keep junk apps very long. Junk doesn't necessarily mean bad or broken, but rather it means not used frequently.

Quick boot - Lets me skip the battery pull when putting my phone into Recovery Mode. Cool app that has been used a few times :)

Here are my favorite apps for root users:

    ROM Manager
    SetCPU
Root Explorer (well worth the $3.82)
    aNetShare (free wireless tether)
    CacheMate (best cache cleaner imo)
