My GS3 screen glass is cracked

Hi Everyone ..

Unfortunately, my GS3 felt on a rock and the outer glass was cracked, the screen is still on and everything is working perfectly fine, even directly under the cracked spot the touch is still working. The question now is what do I need to change ? is it possible to change the outer glass only without changing the whole screen, and approximately how much does that cost ?

If the digitizer (touch screen) is fine you can find screen replacements around the internet. Most are around $200.

Thanks for your reply.. but I think 200$ is a little too much !

Can't I just replace the outer glass "front side only", since everything else is working fine ?

You can try, but as you can see from the iFixIt teardown, the outer screen is fused to the digitizer/screen assembly and isn't easily pried apart.
