i did a full wipe of everything
    then i got a bootloop
    then i flashed gingerbread ki4
and ive got a fully restored back to the factory settings device

    minus paid apps

Did you happen to cut+paste a backup folder in windows between internal and external sd cards in the past?

This happened to me. Only the folder was created, none of the files went across, so in other words my backup was kaput.

If I were you I would do a CWM and a Titanium backup at the earliest possible moment... and check that you actually do have the backups... in case of any, "little accidents".

OK. So you have a rooted phone now with Superuser v3.0.7 and CWM v3.0 installed?

Do you still have Titanium Backup Pro installed as well?

You can check by going to Settings > Applications > Manage applications > All > and look down the list.

    Out at the mo.

Before you do anything else, make sure you do a Titanium Backup and a CWM nandroid backup and check they are both there. That way you have something to fall back on in case everything goes Pete Tong.

Will have a look at your problem later unless one of the guys can sort you.

    Try installing su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip
then try upgrading to su v3

you can manually install a boot amimation by extracting bootanimation.zip in the download file. this needs to go into /system/media
however, if you have one in /system/data/local then this should be deleted

    --applying multi csc
    installin multi csc
    Can't access to '/system/csc/XEU/system/'.
    Successfully applied multi csc.
