It didn't take much time for me to fork over the $2.99 to buy the full version of LauncherPro (avaliable free, however some features are locked). This home menu is incredible. You can literally customize everything. LauncherPro is extremely responsive. I haven't experienced any lag using LauncherPro. My phone is rooted, and I use OneClickLagFix (free on market). I have not tried LauncherPro without the lag fix.

Before, I was using Home++, and was unhappy with the amount of lag I was experiencing. Even with OneClickLagFix, Home++ was laggy. I've tried numerous different home menus, and thought Home++ was the best I was going to get. I'm glad I found LauncherPro.

The feature I liked the most is the dock on the bottom. As you look at the pictures I've provided, you'll notice the dock changes on each photo. You have the option to set the number of docks you want, up to 3. The dock floats, and you can slide through the docks on any screen. I like this because I dont like having all my applications scattered across my home screen. LauncherPro comes with the option to use their custom icons for applications, rather than the default icons. I used LauncherPro icons for my main dock, and default icons for the other 2 docks. You have the option to display the number of unread messages or unread emails. You can see below, I have 2 unread emails.

On my default home screen (screeenshot1.jpg), I've got the Google search widget, Clock widget (free on market), Weather (weatherchannel app free on market), Battery Watcher (free on market) and Signal Strenght widget (free on market). You'll notice I have no applications on my home screen (as mentioned before). All the applications are on my dock. You'll notice that the google search bar doesn't take up a whole row like it normally does. LauncherPro allows you to resize your widgets. Just long click the widget you want to resize, and a resize box will appear. Resize is another one of my favorite features.

I have 3 home screens on my Vibrant, however you can have up to 7. On the screen above, I used the LauncherPro Messages widget. This widget posts all my text messages so I can read and reply to them. To reply, just click on the message you want to reply to. I also have the Power Control widget on the bottom.

On the screen above, I used the LauncherPro Facebook Widget. I find this widget a lot more easy to navigate than the default facebook widget. I resized the widget, because the default takes up the whole screen. I added the Pandora widget to the bottom. Pandora is free on the market.

Finally, the above picture is my application drawer. You'll notice towards the bottom, the applications look like they're folding into space. This is a beta option on LauncherPro, may not work so smooth on some phones. It works great with my Vibrant. It reminds me of the Star Wars introduction. You also have a home key option.

The screenshots and descriptions are some of the major features of LauncherPro. Download LauncherPro on the market, and play around with it yourself. It's easy to navigate. You wont be disappointed.

That theme is one of the defaults that came with LauncherPro.

Bad news. I was so excited to have LauncherPro on my phone, but the phone crashed hard this morning. I woke up to the sound of my phone constantly rebooting itself. I didn't have much choice but to remove the battery for a minute, then boot the phone back up. It booted up, and I kept getting the error "process LauncherPro has failed" followed by just about every other application in my phone failing, but it seemed to always go back to LauncherPro has failed. I couldnt do anything to navigate files. I couldnt even switch back to Home++. Unfortunately, I had to erase all user data to get my phone working again.

I did some research, and found a similar forum with someone who had the same problem. They also had to reset all user data to get their phone working.

Looks like I got all excited for nothing. I wonder if I can recover my $2.99......

I'm giving LauncherPro another shot. I'll let ya'll know how things go this time around. I'm going to give it a 48 hour trial, randomly rebooting the phone after the first 24 hours (if I make it that far). Hopefully it was just a fluke error, because I really like LauncherPro. Its responsive, smooth and user friendly.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've also been using LauncherPro since I got my Vibrant on launch day and not once has it caused my phone to hard crash like that. I've updated it many times and I've even flashed quite a few different roms and lag fixes and LauncherPro was never the cause of any issues I had.

Hopefully that was an isolated incident and was probably caused by something else.

I expect it's something else making things difficult. I've been using LauncherPro for a few months and I've never had a problem, nor have I heard about anything like this. Did you install any apps after LauncherPro? Are any other apps giving you grief?

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. 3 days later and LauncherPro seems to be just fine. I'm not sure why it crashed like that. I've been overloading the phone with applications and widgets to see if I could make it crash again, and it's performing at optimal levels. I'm glad I gave it another shot, I'm extremely happy with LauncherPro. It has my recommendation.

im also having a problem with both adw and launcherpro installed. while im playing music through my PlayerPro widget, my vibrant just reboots. other apps and widgets running dont cause this. when i switch back to TWLauncher, everthing is fine with the playerpro widget.. will be looking into this today..

Almost sounds like PlayerPro is only compatible with TWLauncher. I dont know if that's possible...but if it's only faulting on LauncherPro and ADW, it's not an unreasonable suspicion.

I'm glad to hear ur launcherpro is back and running I fell in love with it the moment I got it. A lot of options for customizing the way u want it too look and feel. I havn't had a lag fix and so far I havn't noticed any lags switching between homescreens and applications. I think Samsung should just scrap their TW and adopt Launcherpro haha just my thought
