i opened it to check a message and suddenly the samsung galaxy logo appeared and it just kept appearing then disappearing to a black screen then appearing again and it won't stop.
i tried taking out the battery but as soon as i put it back in the logo would appear and disappear in a loop that doesn't end (note that it happens as soon as i put the battery back in without clicking the power button or anything else).
it happened a couple of times before but it just appeared once and the phone rebooted, but this time it just wouldn't stop.
what should i do? is there a way to fix it myself or do i have to take it to a specialist?

Hello and welcome to Android Forums Burda :)

Sorry to hear you are having problems. Lets see if we can sort you out.

First, as per #1.3 of S4 Lollipop Update Problems - Dummies Guide, (not just for the Lollipop update), boot into Recovery Mode and try Wiping your Cache Partition.

Failing that, move on to #2.3, a Factory Data Reset, again in Recovery Mode. This will wipe all user data from your phone and return it to its out-of-the-box state.

It is not always easy to boot into Recovery Mode and it may take you a few attempts but there is a video in the links above, to show you how.

hi
thanks for your reply
i can't reboot my system into any mode because no matter what i do the loop just keeps going and it doesn't stop, besides, the loop starts when i put the battery in without pressing any button so i can't reboot it in any way

This is tricky but remove the battery and then press and hold the button combination and then, still holding the buttons, replace the battery. You may need another pair of hands to help you.
