Help My Space/ Facebook apps / live

on my lg optimus gt540 i want my my space and facebook apps on the front of my phone to be live,so i get all the live updates etc constantly showing on my phone without having to go into each site. all i do is touch each one and it takes you to the mobile versions of each.

i am sure you can have live versions of these apps.

can someone please help.
