For anyone that is interested, you can use MyRemote over your 3G network.

All you have to do is forward ports 9875 to 9878 on your router to your PC running the myRemote software.

Then use your router's IP address (from your internet provider) in your myRemote software on your droid.

It is surprisingly responsive and there is no need to drain your battery running WIFI.

Hi, thanks for this info, however it doesn't work for me. I am familiar with forwarding ports and other ports I forward do work. Are these ports you listed supposed to be tcp, udp, or both?

    Thanks!

Hey, I emailed the developer and he replied and now I have it working.

The only port needed is 9876 and it is UDP.

P.S. WiFi actually uses less battery than 3G.

    Don't believe me? Google it.
