Mysterious IM application

    I'm a bit curious about this.. if i go into Settings > Apllications > Manage applications in the list that is displayed there in one just called "IM" which has an icon of a red and a blue speech bubble leading me to belive that it's some sort of instant messanger application. But it doesn't display at all in the list of applications so there is no way of launching it.

    Now I know there are a whole range of system apps in the manage list but does anyone know what this "IM" is and is it a usable IM client?

    I think, although someone may correct me, that it's the backend for Google Talk. Which is a usable IM client itself, but only with other google users.

    I don't think that's correct, I loaded up the motoblur port rom for the Hero, and that included the IM application, that allowed you to connect to AIM and WLM and such.
